The Story

Amazon partnered with Rivian to create a sustainable delivery fleet. Leveraging the underlying Rivian technology, Amazon has committed to deploy 100,000 of their electric delivery vehicles by 2030. We were brought on by both teams as the experts in automotive sound design to create a solution that customized the power of the Rivian sound for the Amazon brand.Amazon Prime Logo

UX Sounds

The Rivian EDV by default is unbranded, both visually and sonically. We took this blank canvas and the framework of the Rivian audio design system and applied a balance of the Amazon audio branding to carefully craft safety sounds for the fleet of vans.

Safety Sounds

From ADAS to AVAS, we created critical safety sounds for the driver and pedestrian experiences. The ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance System) offer auditory alerts in the cabin. The AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) is the artificial engine sound.
