The Story

Beginning with the release of Cerulean Blue in 2000, Pantone has consistently released a unique Color of the Year. To celebrate the twenty-first anniversary, Pantone created a multi-sensory exploration—sound included.Various Pantone color swatches.

The Sound of Classic Blue

Audio UX® partnered with  and Pantone to create the first ever Sound of the Color of the Year. The sound of  builds on the timelessness and enduring nature of the color, becoming something extraordinary. As our hearts call for a nostalgic song that takes us to a place of comfort and familiarity, CLASSIC BLUE is a foundation of tranquility from which to build.

Vivid Nostalgia

The concept of VIVID NOSTALGIA showcases the creative musicality possible with the official Pantone Classic Blue Sample pack, available via LANDR. This aural embodiment of PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue utilizes traditional instruments treated in innovative ways, bridging the gap between past and present.

Audio UX® collaborated with LANDR on the official Classic Blue 19-4052 Sample Pack. Each sample aims to serve as inspiration for musicians across the world to create, remix, and immerse themselves in the world of color.
